There are many families with small and school age children in the Maria Reina English Parish. Through the use of parent and community volunteers, we try to offer a variety of programs to help our children learn about their faith.

Every September, we survey the congregation regarding children reaching 1st Communion or Confirmation ages. Usually, we have a small group of each, which we then prepare during the year for celebrations in the spring. We have used texts in the past, along with the ideas and energy of the volunteer teachers.

Due to the large number of children under 7, and the enthusiasm of some of our teenagers and mothers, we have also begun a Children’s Mass. Each Sunday, the little ones can gather during part of the mass, do a brief Gospel-related activity, and return to their parents.

Children who have made their 1st Communion are eligible to train for altar server. Our congregation welcomes both boys and girls in this capacity.

Baptisms can be scheduled by talking with our Priests and coordinating with the Parish office.
