About us
Welcome to this web-page prepared by the English-speaking community at Santa Maria Reina Catholic Church. This is a community comprised of many nationalities that gather together to celebrate the Catholic faith in the common language of English. Every Sunday you are welcome to attend 10:30 am mass at Santa Maria Reina. Coffee and fellowship are offered immediately following the mass. 

History of the English Speaking Catholic Community in Barcelona
A small English speaking Catholic community has been meeting without interruptions for about 29 years in Barcelona. It started at the request of some members of the American Women's Club who did not speak Spanish and who missed celebrating the Eucharist in their own language. A few of us who live here permanently were asked to help. After making some contacts, we were offered a venue, the small chapel of the French Parish in Sarria. 

Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, Altar service
There are many families with small and school age children in the Maria Reina English Parish. Through the use of parent and community volunteers, we try to offer a variety of programs to help our children learn about their faith.
